Since 1990, KIRAN Society has worked with children and young people with disabilities, children from marginalized communities, families and villages—connecting rehabilitation, inclusive education, skills, livelihood and social participation.
KIRAN brings different forms of support into one connected pathway so children and young people can participate more fully in everyday life.
KIRAN Society began in Varanasi in 1990 and was formally registered in 1994. Its work connects rehabilitation, inclusive and special education, higher education, livelihood, family support and community outreach.

KIRAN’s primary work is with children and young people with disabilities and children from marginalised communities. Inclusive settings create opportunities for children with and without disabilities to learn, participate and grow together.
KIRAN Village in Madhopur became the organisation’s home in 1998. The connected pathway now spans early intervention, therapeutic and medical rehabilitation, education, vocational preparation, assistive devices, higher education, social integration and outreach.
We look at impact across the whole journey—mobility, communication, learning, confidence, work, family participation and the freedom to make everyday choices.
